Amber Fort, also known as Amer Fort, is a fort located in Amer, Rajasthan, India. It is a principal tourist attraction in Jaipur and is known for its artistic style elements, large ramparts, and series of gates and cobbled paths. The fort overlooks Maota Lake, which is the main source of water for the Amer Palace. The palace is an example of Rajput architecture, with some influence of Mughal architecture, and is constructed of red sandstone and marble. It is laid out on four levels, each with a courtyard, and consists of the Diwan-e-Aam, the Diwan-e-Khas, the Sheesh Mahal, and the Sukh Niwas. The fort is also home to several other attractions, including the Jas Mandir, zenana, and the palace of Man Singh. A network of underground tunnels links the fort to the Jaigarh Fort
