The Golden Temple, also known as Harmandir Sahib, is a gurdwara located in Amritsar, Punjab, India. It is a central religious place of the Sikhs and a symbol of human brotherhood and equality. The temple has a unique Sikh architecture, with four entrances that signify the Sikh belief in equality and welcome people from all walks of life. The complex includes a holy pool, a circumambulation path, and several buildings, including the Akal Takht, the chief centre of religious authority of Sikhism. The Golden Temple is an open house of worship for all people and has a langar, a free Sikh community-run kitchen that offers a vegetarian meal to all visitors without discrimination. Activities: We visited the Golden Temple. This Sikh temple was absolutely amazing. The temple was beautiful (in gold) surrounded by water and marble all around. You go in barefoot and circle it, and the place is very peaceful despite the swarms of pilgrims
