Mysore Zoo, also known as Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens, is a 157-acre zoo located in Mysore, India. It is one of the oldest zoos in India and is home to over 168 species of animals. The zoo was created from the private menagerie of Chamaraja Wadiyar X in 1892 and has since been expanded to include a variety of animals, including large apes, birds, and reptiles. The zoo features natural enclosures, a bandstand, and an artificial lake, and offers a range of activities, including animal adoption programs and educational experiences. The zoo is also involved in conservation efforts, including breeding programs and rescue and rehabilitation of wild animals
