Mysore Palace, also known as Amba Vilas Palace, is a historical palace and a royal residence located in Mysore, Karnataka, India. It was the official residence of the Wadiyar dynasty and the seat of the Kingdom of Mysore. The palace is a three-story, gray granite structure with a blend of Indo-Saracenic, Islamic, Rajput, and Gothic architecture styles. It features a five-story tower topped with a gold-plated dome, arches, canopies, and bay windows. The palace is surrounded by gardens and has four entrances. It is now a museum and a major tourist attraction, with many ornate rooms and a colonnaded Durbar Hall. The palace is also home to twelve Hindu temples and features cows grazing in the lush gardens. The site has a rich history, with the first recorded mention of a palace on the site dating back to 1638. The current palace was built between 1897 and 1912, after the previous palace was burned down during a wedding ceremony
