Chamundi Hill is a prominent location in Mysuru, Karnataka, India, featuring the famous Chamundeshwari Temple at its peak. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Chamundeshwari, the fierce form of Goddess Durga, who defeated the demon Mahishasura. The hill has an average elevation of 1,060 meters and offers panoramic views of the city, including the Mysore Palace and Karanji Lake. The temple has a quadrangular structure and features a statue of Mahishasura, as well as a sculpted depiction of Chamundeshwari in a cross-legged yogic posture. The hill is also home to the Mahabaleshvara Temple, which is one of the oldest temples on the hill. A colossal Nandi statue, 16 feet tall and 25 feet long, is located on the hill, and the area is considered a place of pilgrimage
