Lalbagh Botanical Garden, also known as Lalbagh, is a botanical garden with a 200-year history. It was founded by King Hyder Ali and later managed by numerous British Superintendents before Indian Independence. The garden is home to numerous ornamental plants, as well as those of economic value, and serves as a social function as a park and recreational space. It features a central glass house, a lake, and a large rock with a watchtower. The garden hosts two flower shows coinciding with the week of Republic Day and Independence Day. It is also home to numerous wild species of birds and other wildlife, making it a popular destination for nature lovers and families. The garden has several attractions, including a bonsai garden, a topiary park, and a floral clock.
