Agonda is a large village located in Canacona in South Goa district, India. It is famous for its 3 km long public beach, known as Agonda Beach, which is one of the only four beaches designated as turtle nesting sites under the Coastal Regulation Zone 2011 notification. The beach is lined with coconut and palm trees, offering a picturesque setting. Visitors can enjoy the beach, relax, and swim, with opportunities for water sports and fishing activities. The village has a population of 3801, with a literacy rate of 86.11%. Agonda Beach is also known for its beautiful sunset views and is a nesting ground for olive ridley sea turtles during the month of September
