Djúpalónssandur, also known as the Black Lava Pearl Beach, is a beautiful place to visit. It's a sandy beach and bay located at the foot of Snæfellsjökull, with a unique landscape of black pebbles and lava formations. The beach is home to the remains of a British fishing vessel that shipwrecked in 1948, and visitors can see the iron pieces from the wreck. There are also four differently sized stones, known as Aflraunasteinar, which were used to measure the strength of sailors. The beach is surrounded by a lava field with huge lava formations, and visitors can walk down to the beach via the Nautastígur path, also known as the Path of the Bull. The path takes you through a beautiful landscape with a peculiar rock called Gatklettur, which has a hole in it, offering stunning views of Snæfellsjökull glacier
