Laugarhóll is a family-run guest house located in Bjarnarfjörður, a lush valley in Strandir, halfway between Ísafjörður and Reykjavík. The area is rich with geothermal activity, and guests can relax in the geothermal hot-tubs. The guest house offers 16 single, double, and triple rooms, either with private bathrooms or shared facilities. The surrounding area offers various activities such as hiking, cross-country skiing, and whale watching. There is also a Museum of Icelandic Sorcery & Witchcraft in Hólmavík, which includes the Sorcerer's Cottage, a three-room turf-roofed cottage showing what living conditions were like for the purported sorcerers. The cottage has a dim, cramped, cluttered interior and features magic staves carved into the woodwork
