The Secret Lagoon is a beautiful thermal pool located in the heart of an area with high geothermal activity, with steam rising from natural hot springs. It's situated near the village of Flúðir in southern Iceland. The thermal pool is maintained at a constant temperature of 38/40 °C. Little pathways, geothermal hot spots, and a small geyser, which erupts around every five minutes, are added attractions adjacent to the pool. The pool has a unique setting with a tiny two-doored shack standing right above its northern brim. The Secret Lagoon is known to most Icelanders as 'Gamla Laugin' which means The Old Pool. It was created in 1891 and is the oldest swimming pool in Iceland. The pool has been renovated but maintains its original appearance
