Bláhnjúkur, also known as the 'Blue Peak', is a volcano in the south of Iceland, located in the Landmannalaugar region. It stands at a height of 940 meters and is known for its unique blue-black color, which is due to volcanic ash and lava flows. The mountain offers a challenging hike with steep inclines, but the reward is a breathtaking 360° panorama view of the surrounding landscape, including several glaciers. On a clear day, hikers can see up to six glaciers on the horizon. The hike is considered hard and takes around 3-4 hours to complete. The trail is well-signposted, and the ascent can be done from either the east or west side, with the west path being recommended for an easier ascent
