Castle Hill

Castle Hill, also known as Várhegy, is a hill in Budapest, Hungary, that is home to the historic Buda Castle. The castle, which was first completed in 1265, has been rebuilt and expanded over the centuries and now houses several museums, including the Hungarian National Gallery and the Budapest Historical Museum. The castle complex sits on the southern tip of Castle Hill and its defensive walls surround the entire Castle Quarter neighborhood, which is known for its medieval, Baroque, and neoclassical houses, churches, and other monuments.
