What to expect

The Dragon's Back is a mountain ridge in southeastern Hong Kong Island that passes through Shek O Peak, offering impressive coastal views. The Dragon's Back Trail is a popular hiking route, suitable for families and amateur hikers, with a distance of 8.5 km and a moderate level of difficulty. The trail features scenic views, paragliders, and radio-controlled gliders, and is part of Stage 8 of the Hong Kong Trail. Hikers can enjoy the sounds of nature and take in the stunning views, but should be mindful of their litter and keep to the right side of the trail. The trail is rocky in some parts, so proper footwear is recommended
