Delphi is an ancient sacred precinct and the seat of Pythia, the major oracle who was consulted about important decisions throughout the ancient classical world. The ancient Greeks considered the centre of the world to be in Delphi, marked by the stone monument known as the Omphalos of Delphi. The site is situated on the slopes of Mount Parnassus and boasts an amazing natural landscape. Visitors can explore the glorious Oracle of Delphi, the temple of Apollo, the Ancient Theater, and the Archaeological Museum, which hosts valuable exhibits from excavations carried out in Delphi. The nearby village offers many amenities, including hotels, restaurants, and shops, making it a great base for exploring the surrounding area
