The Palamidi Fortress is a citadel fortress located on a 216-metre high hill in the town of Nafplio, in the Peloponnese region of southern Greece. The fortress was built by the Venetians during their second occupation of the area and features eight bastions, originally named after Venetian provveditori, but later renamed after ancient Greek leaders and heroes. The fortress offers stunning views of the Argolic Gulf and is a great place to visit with family and friends to learn about its rich history and explore its impressive architecture
