Mycenae

Mycenae is an archaeological site and a former city in Greece, known for its impressive ruins and rich history. It was one of the major centers of Greek civilization, a military stronghold that dominated much of southern Greece, Crete, the Cyclades, and parts of southwest Anatolia. The site features the Lion Gate, the Treasury of Atreus, and the walls of Mycenae, which are examples of noteworthy architecture.
