What to expect

The Archaeological Museum of Rhodes is a museum located in the Medieval City of Rhodes, housed in the monumental edifice that was the hospital of the Knights of Saint John. The museum contains various collections of archaeological artifacts from various parts of Rhodes and the neighbouring islands, including the Statue of the Crouching Aphrodite, the Pyxis of the Fikellura type, and the Head of Helios. Visitors can also see a collection of vases, figurines, small objects, and tomb groups found in Ancient Ialyssos and Ancient Kameiros, as well as mosaic floors from the Hellenistic times and funerary slabs of the Knights of Saint John. The museum features a Marble Statue of Aphrodite Bathing, an impressive collection of ancient coins, and marble reliefs from the Temple of Apollo depicting scenes from Greek Mythology
