Imbros Gorge is an 11 km long canyon located near Hora Sfakion in southern Crete. The gorge is a popular hiking destination, with a well-marked trail that takes around 3 hours to complete. The trail is relatively easy, with no steep or difficult sections, but proper shoes with ankle support are recommended due to the stony path. The gorge is known for its lush vegetation and impressive rocky sides, and is home to a variety of flora and fauna. The narrowest part of the gorge is just 1.60m wide, and the trail passes through a stunning stone arch. The gorge is suitable for visitors of all ages, but families with children should be aware that the trail can be uneven and rocky in some places

Highlights: We found the Imbros Gorge to be a great hike, less famous and less difficult than Samaria. The scenery was beautiful. The taxi ride back to the car was a convenient end to the day ✨
