What to expect

Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory situated at the southern tip of the Iberian Peninsula, strategically positioned at the western end of the Mediterranean. The peninsula consists of a limestone and shale ridge, which rises abruptly from the isthmus to 1,380 feet at Rock Gun, its northernmost summit. Gibraltar has a Westminster-style Parliament and is responsible for its own internal affairs, while foreign affairs and defence remain the responsibility of the UK Government. The official language is English, and many people also speak Spanish. Llanito is recognised as a specifically Gibraltarian dialect. Gibraltar is home to several attractions, including St. Michael's Cave, the Moorish Castle, and the Gibraltar Natural History Museum. The Apes' Den, where visitors can see Barbary Macaques, is also a popular destination. With its rich history, unique culture, and stunning natural beauty, Gibraltar is a great place to visit with family and friends
