What to expect

The Naturerlebnispfad, or Nature Park Trail, is a 200-kilometer trail that unites five nature parks in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. The trail leads through wonderful landscapes, past numerous natural and cultural landmarks, and offers magnificent views without requiring hikers to climb to the highest peaks. The trail begins on the European long-distance hiking trails E1 and E6 and crosses the North-Baltic Sea hiking trail. Along the way, hikers can enjoy the scenic views of the Baltic Sea, explore the 'Knicklandschaft' Schleswig-Holstein landscape, and visit the Bismarck monument. Old Liekwegen Quarry: Family Walk in the Schaumburg Region
This family's experience:

Activities: We followed the nature trail that had information boards. The nature trail has interactive elements. The trail runs along the shorter of the two circular routes, which runs from the Brandshof car park. "Here we can still learn a lot: about lean soils and grasshoppers for example."

Highlights: We were able to learn a lot about the local flora and fauna. The information boards made it fun and educational. "The pictures are a bit faded and some interactive stations no longer work properly." ✨
