What to expect

The Kapelle St. Jürgen is a Gothic brick building from the 13th century with a foundation of boulders and a gable roof. It is located about one kilometer southeast of the town center of Burg on Fehmarn. The chapel features pointed arch windows typical of the Gothic period and has a sacrament house from the 13th century and wall paintings from the 15th century. Originally, the chapel was part of a hospital for the care of people suffering from the plague or leprosy
