Zittau Mountains – insider tip for holidays with children in Saxony
This family's experience:

Activities: We took the Zittauer Schmalspurbahn. We chose the open compartment. We had to change trains once. "Auf dem letzten Stück schnauft der alte Zug gehörig bergauf und bläst ordentlich Dieseldampf heraus."

Highlights: The kids really enjoyed the train ride. It was a highlight of the trip, especially the old-fashioned train with the open compartment. The train went uphill and blew off steam ✨
