The Albertplatz in Dresden is a nearly circular square in the Innere Neustadt district. It was designed by Friedrich Bouché in 1875 and is now Dresden's most important traffic hub north of the Elbe. The square is surrounded by several important streets, including the Bautzner Straße, Georgenstraße, and Königstraße. The Albertplatz is also home to several notable buildings, such as the Villa Eschebach, the Erich-Kästner-Museum, and the Hochhaus am Albertplatz. The square features several fountains, including the artesian fountain and the twin fountain, as well as the Kästner and Schiller monument.
