The Völklinger Hütte is a former blast-furnace complex and the world's only fully preserved ironworks from the heyday of industrialisation. It is a museum and a unique location for international exhibitions, festivals, and concerts. The site features intact blast furnaces, a coking plant, and a blower hall with huge gas machines. Visitors can tour the production areas and explore the Ferrodrom, an interactive science center focusing on the making of iron. The Völklinger Ironworks also hosts the UrbanArt Biennale, a biennial exhibition showcasing urban art
