What to expect

The Deutsches Eck is a historic site located in Koblenz, Germany, where the Moselle river meets the Rhine. The site has a long history dating back to 1216 when the Teutonic Order established a commandry here. Today, it is home to a 37-meter-high monument of Emperor Wilhelm I, which was inaugurated in 1897 and rebuilt in 1993. The monument is a popular tourist attraction, attracting over 2 million visitors per year, and is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site 'Upper Middle Rhine Valley'. Visitors can stroll along the Rhine Promenade, which offers magnificent views of the river and the surrounding countryside, or explore the picturesque alleyways and historic squares of the old town
