What to expect
The Familienerlebnisweg Schmallenberg is a 2.7km long family-friendly trail that takes you through woods, over meadows, and partly over the old railway line. Along the way, you can discover native insects, birds, and trees of the Sauerland region. The trail features 13 interactive stations where children can learn and play, and there are beautiful views and picnic areas to enjoy. The trail is suitable for families with children aged 5 and over and is accessible with a stroller. The trail starts at the Holz- und Touristikzentrum Schmallenberg and is a great way to explore the natural beauty of the Sauerland region
