Schloss Oberwerries

Castle Hamm, North-Rhine-Westphalia, Germany

What to expect

Schloss Oberwerries is a castle complex consisting of several buildings from different eras. The most notable building is a two-storey brick castle with sandstone trim, built at the junction of the XVII and XVIII centuries. Inside the castle, you can admire a fireplace dating to 1672, transformed into a Gothic arched window. There is a baroque garden near the gatehouse and stables adjoining the kennel. The castle is used mainly for conferences and receptions, and occasionally hosts fancy-dress balls, including those organized by fans of the Czechoslovak-German film 'Three Nuts for Cinderella'
