The Ahrquelle is a spring located in the town of Blankenheim, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is the source of the Ahr river, which flows through the romantic Ahr valley and eventually into the Rhine at Sinzig. The spring is situated in the cellar of a half-timbered house dating back to 1726. The Ahr valley is characterized by vineyards on the south-facing slopes and a picturesque rocky landscape, carved out by the river creating a 300-meter deep gorge in the Ahr Hills. The popular AhrSteig long-distance hiking trail also starts at the source of the Ahr. The valley offers a range of attractions and activities, including wine villages, rock formations, and scenic views
