Eldeschleuse

Eldeschleuse is a place located in Plau am See, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. The nearby Plauer See is a lake with a surface area of approximately 38.4 km2 and a maximum depth of 25.5 meters. It is the third largest lake in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and the seventh largest in Germany. The lake has connections to other lakes and rivers, including the Elde and the Müritz-Elde-Wasserstraße. There are many tourist facilities around the Plauer See, such as camping sites and a circular cycle path. The lake is surrounded by a nature reserve and is home to various wildlife. The nearby town of Plau am See has a lowland castle and a hubbrücke, a technical monument that was built in 1916 and reconstructed in 1991/92.
