Schlosspark Ludwigslust is a beautiful park in northern Germany, covering 127 hectares. The English landscape park features a generous network of paths, idyllic views, and sights, including two mausoleums, a neo-Gothic church, a grotto, and various monuments and flower gardens. The park is home to artistic water features and offers a free app with an audio guide, which includes audio stories for children. The adjacent palace is a late-baroque building with a Golden Hall featuring monumental columns and magnificent crystal chandeliers, as well as outstanding works of art, including a 'painted animal park' series and Meissen porcelains. The palace café offers homemade pies and cakes with a great view of the park

Activities: We walked through the Schlosspark Ludwigslust. We started behind the castle on the Hofdamenallee, the main axis of the original Baroque garden. We walked to the artificial ruin, where the kids could climb. We also visited the Schweizerhaus
Highlights: The size of the park was impressive compared to the small town and the castle. "Here you can easily spend an hour or two without the children getting bored." We also enjoyed the varied landscape with winding paths and the idyllic English landscape parks ✨
