What to expect
Börgerende-Rethwisch is a municipality in the Rostock district, in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. It is situated in the middle of the natural preserve 'Conventer Niederung' and features a peaceful atmosphere, beautiful farm houses, and landmarked barns. Visitors can stroll along the village street, enjoy the stunningly beautiful straw-thatched houses, and take a leisurely walk along the coast or through the extensive forest 'Gespensterwald'. The village church with stained glass windows from the middle ages and the local museum with its court are also worth visiting. The municipality has a variety of waders and water fowl, and the Conventer See, an old bay whose outlet to the Baltic has silted up, turning it into a lake. The place offers a range of activities, including mini golf, and has a pleasant sea climate that contributes to general well-being
