Activities: We went Tretbootfahren, which means pedal boating, on the lake. We also enjoyed a bit of schippering around. 'Schipperten in der trüben Brühe ein bisschen hierhin, ein bisschen dorthin' (We sailed a little here and a little there). We also tried to find the right entrance
Highlights: The kids wanted to sit at the steering wheel. We all enjoyed the fresh air and the challenge of pedaling! We had to 'give it some gas' to make it back in time ✨

Activities: We started our walk from the eastern side of the Steinhuder Meer. We saw white sailboats on the water. The path around the lake is popular for cycling, but we walked on the main path. The views from the observation towers were fantastic. We walked through the young deciduous forest
Highlights: The wide open blue lake and the nature around the lake was great. The kids were amazed by the white sailboats, and cows grazing in the pasture. We saw the Seerosenteich that had formed in a sand pit, it was a highlight ✨

Activities: We walked in the Meerbruchwiesen from Winzlar. We went along a road. We saw observation huts and watched many migratory birds. We ended our walk at a wooden pier that goes over the water
Highlights: The kids really liked seeing the birds from the observation huts. It was nice to be able to feel like we were in the Danube Delta on the wooden pier ✨
