Steinhude with children: Trip to Lake Steinhude
This family's experience:

Activities: We went to the Steinhude Badeinsel, which is east of the city center and well signposted. We enjoyed the sandy beach, perfect for digging, and the playground. The water is dark due to the peat, but the kids don't mind. We also used the toilets

Highlights: The kids loved the shallow water, which allowed for a wide range of movement. We loved the sand for digging and the playground near the sea. There's a playground. "The water quality does not affect the peaty color." ✨
