The Zoo Osnabrück is a zoo located in the south of Osnabrück, Germany. It is also known as the Waldzoo due to its location in a wooded area. The zoo is home to over 3,100 animals from 299 species and features various themed areas, including the Afrika-Arealen Samburu and Takamanda, an aquarium, a Südamerika-Areal, an asiatische Tempellandschaft, an Unterirdischer Zoo, and a Nordamerika-Areal. The zoo also has several playgrounds for children, including the Makatanda with a treehouse village and a rope playground, the Giraffenspielplatz with a large slide, and the NOZ-Kinderland with a mud playground and an old steam locomotive. Additionally, the zoo offers a zoo restaurant and several snack stands
