Zinnfiguren-Museum

Museum Goslar, Lower-Saxony, Germany

What to expect

The Zinnfiguren-Museum Goslar is a museum located in the historic Lohmühle building in Goslar, Germany. The museum showcases historical and modern tin figures in self-created dioramas, with a focus on the history of the city of Goslar and the three UNESCO World Heritage sites in the region. Visitors can explore around 60 tin figure dioramas, including historical tin figures, and learn about the history of the German Empire and the Abendland region. The museum also offers the opportunity for visitors to create their own tin figures as a souvenir. Additionally, the museum features a technique called 'Pepper's ghost' which creates an illusion of transparent objects. The museum is run by volunteers and supported by the Förderkreis Goslarer Zinnfiguren-Museum e.V

Goslar with children: Short trip to the Harz Mountains
This family's experience:

Activities: We went to the Zinnfiguren-Museum. The museum has scenes from Goslar's history. It has scenes from the history of Goslar, much more vividly than in the "adult museum" next door. The boys loved it!

Highlights: The family loved the Zinnfiguren-Museum. The scenes from Goslar's history, the exhibits and dioramas showing the legendary first ore find at Rammelsberg, all were enjoyed ✨
