Jagdschloss Baum

Castle Bückeburg, Lower-Saxony, Germany

What to expect

The Jagdschloss Baum, also known as Baum Hunting Lodge, is a small Schloss near Bückeburg in the Schaumburg Forest. It was built between 1760 and 1761 by Count Wilhelm zu Schaumburg Lippe and is considered a prime example of late Baroque Classicism. The lodge features an English landscape garden with a small pond, a grotto, and a step pyramid family mausoleum. Today, it serves as a conference and recreation center for the Protestant youth group, offering seminars, lectures, and holiday and weekend programs. The lodge has a dining hall, common room, kitchen, and dormitories, and an adjacent building provides additional lodging for up to 40 guests
