What to expect

The Iberg Dripstone Cave is a public cave and geology museum located on the western edge of the Harz mountains in southern Lower Saxony, Germany. The cave is 220 meters long and features a variety of unique geological formations, including dripstones, helictites, and sinter. The cave was formed around 385 million years ago as a coral reef and was later moved to its present location due to tectonic plate movements. Visitors can explore the cave's many chambers and galleries, including the Captain Spatzier Gallery and the Yellow Climb, and see a range of colorful speleothems and other geological formations. The cave has become a popular tourist destination, attracting thousands of visitors each year
