Hamburg City Hall

Hamburg Town Hall, also known as City Hall, is a magnificent sandstone building that houses the city's senate and parliament. The building was constructed from 1886 to 1897 and features an elaborately decorated façade with 20 statues of emperors. The interior is equally impressive, with 647 rooms, including the debating chamber, the Kaisersaal, the Tower Hall, and the Grand Ballroom. The building is supported by over 4,000 oak piles and features a striking ceiling painting that symbolises merchant shipping under the German flag. Guided tours are available, and visitors can explore the building's many rooms and learn about its history and significance. The Town Hall is a popular venue for events and celebrations, and its courtyard features a beautiful fountain and a passageway connecting it to the Chamber of Commerce and the Hamburg Stock Exchange
