The Zoo am Meer Bremerhaven is a zoo located next to the river Weser, exhibiting mainly species that live in the water or in northern environments. The zoo features polar bears, South American sea-lions, harbour seals, and South African fur seals, as well as chimpanzees and white-headed marmosets. The North Sea Aquarium is also part of the zoo, with nine tanks full of impressive sea creatures such as cat sharks, sea wolves, seahorses, and octopuses.
