The area around the lake features villas, apartment buildings, and a student village, as well as the Paul-Ernst Park, which offers a memorial stone and a wooded area. The lake is suitable for families, with a children's playground and a beer garden nearby. Activities: We went for a walk around the Schlachtensee. There is a popular path used by joggers and walkers. We could have spent a whole day there, especially in summer. We also looked for the Mandarin ducks!
