What to expect

The Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe is a place of remembrance and commemoration for the up to six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust. It consists of a field of 2,711 concrete steles of different heights, which can be walked through from all sides, and an underground Information Centre. The memorial is designed to stimulate reflection and provide a space for discussion. The Information Centre features an exhibition documenting the persecution and extermination of the European Jews, with themed rooms and personal stories. The memorial is a central Holocaust memorial in Germany and is intended to be a place of contemplation, remembrance, and warning
