What to expect

The East Side Gallery is a 1.3-kilometer stretch of the Berlin Wall that was painted by various artists after the German reunification. It is the largest open-air gallery in the world, featuring 105 paintings by artists from all over the world. The gallery is a colorful monument to the freedom of expression and a symbol of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Some of the most famous paintings include 'The Mortal Kiss' by Dmitri Vrubel and Birgit Kinder's Trabant crashing through the Wall.
