What to expect

The East Side Gallery is a 1.3-kilometer stretch of the Berlin Wall that was painted by various artists after the German reunification. It is the largest open-air gallery in the world, featuring 105 paintings by artists from all over the world. The gallery is a colorful monument to the freedom of expression and a symbol of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Some of the most famous paintings include 'The Mortal Kiss' by Dmitri Vrubel and Birgit Kinder's Trabant crashing through the Wall. The East Side Gallery is a listed monument and has been restored by artists to preserve its original state. It is a popular tourist destination and a great place to visit with family and friends
