The Römische Thermen Weißenburg, also known as the Große Thermen, are a remarkable relic of the Roman fort and vicus Biriciana, which secured the northern border of the province of Raetia. The thermal baths, located on the periphery of the city of Weißenburg in Bayern, are one of the few preserved on Germanic soil. They were discovered in 1977 and have been converted into a museum since 1983. The baths feature several rooms, including a warm bath, two tepidariums, a sudatorium, a cold bath, and a basilica. The baths were well-equipped with features such as hypocausts, warm water tanks, and glass windows to maintain a comfortable temperature. The ruins are now protected under a tent-like structure and can be accessed via a fixed circular path, making it a great place to visit with family and friends to explore the history of the Roman Empire
