The Nuremberg Zoo, also known as Tiergarten Nürnberg, is a 67-hectare zoo located in the Nuremberg Reichswald. The zoo is home to over 300 animal species and features large, natural enclosures embedded in a landscape of forests and stone pits. Visitors can see a variety of animals, including Asiatic lions, Siberian tigers, snow leopards, polar bears, and maned wolves. The zoo also has a dolphinarium and an Aqua Park with a bronze sculpture of a polar bear group. Additionally, the zoo features a 'Tree of Life' bronze sculpture and offers a natural historic center, a gorilla outdoor enclosure, and a domestic animal and pet zoo.
