The Imperial Castle in Nuremberg is a medieval fortified complex that represents the power and importance of the Holy Roman Empire. The castle comprises three sections: the Imperial castle, the former Burgraves' castle, and the buildings erected by the Imperial City. Visitors can explore the Imperial Chapel, the Palas, and the Kemenate, and see the Deep Well, which is the castle's only source of water. The castle also features the Sinwell Tower, which was the major keep of the Castle, and the Castellan's House, the Secretarial Building, and the Finance Building. Activities: We visited the Imperial Castle. We could choose between guided tours, exploring on our own, strolling through the museum shops, or a walk through the castle garden. Nunu and Philip saw the exhibition on their own. Schmusa took a nap in the buggy. I had a coffee and cake at the Burg Café Beer
Highlights: Nunu was most enthusiastic about the treasures in the treasury ✨

Activities: We strolled through the area of the Kaiserburg. We didn't go inside, but the grounds are freely accessible and offer a beautiful view of the Old Town
Highlights: The kids loved the Affenfelsen, a sandstone rock south of the Kaiserburg, which invites climbing and scrambling ✨
