What to expect

Nymphenburg Palace is a Baroque palace situated in Munich's western district Neuhausen-Nymphenburg, in Bavaria, southern Germany. The palace was commissioned by the electoral couple Ferdinand Maria and Henriette Adelaide of Savoy to the designs of the Italian architect Agostino Barelli in 1664 after the birth of their son Maximilian II Emanuel. The palace was gradually expanded and transformed over the years, with notable contributions from architects such as Enrico Zuccalli, Joseph Effner, and François Cuvillés the Elder. The palace features a grand central pavilion, two off-set pavilions, and a beautiful park with a lake, fountains, and walking trails. Visitors can explore the palace and its park, which includes the Marstallmuseum and the Amalienburg, a Rococo gem with a Hall of Mirrors. The palace is a great place to visit with family and friends, with its stunning architecture, beautiful gardens, and rich history
