The Hohes Schloss, or High Castle, is a historic castle located in Füssen, Germany. It was once the summer residence of the prince-bishops of Augsburg and now houses a branch gallery of the Bavarian State Collections of Paintings, which focuses on late Gothic and Renaissance works of art. The castle features unique illusionary paintings in its inner courtyard and offers a stunning view of the city and surroundings from its battlements and towers. Visitors can also explore the castle's drop tower, clock tower, and the Veitskapelle, a chapel that is one of the highest castle chapel in Germany where weddings can be held.
