What to expect

Asamklamm is a scenic area in the Bavarian Prealps, near the city of Eschenlohe. The area offers several hiking trails, including the MTB Eschenlohe - Hohe Kisten, a 20.4 km long trail with an elevation gain of 1,273 m, and the Via Alpina Purple Trail, Segment 58 : Herzogstand - Weilheimer Hütte, which has the most elevation gain of all the trails in the area. Families can enjoy a moderate 7.7 km long hike near Eschenlohe, which includes the Archtalschlucht, Asamklamm, and Klammbrücke, with stunning views and exciting gorge climbs. The trail is suitable for families with children, but sturdy shoes are necessary, and parents should be cautious when approaching the Klammbrücke with small children
