What to expect
The Hörnle Schwebebahn is a unique suspension railway with double swivel chairs that takes visitors on a 20-minute ride to the summit of the Hörnle mountain. The lift is particularly comfortable for families with children, older people, and those with mobility issues, as the seats fold away when getting out and visitors can simply stand on the yellow markings. The Hörnle offers various activities in summer and winter, including hiking, Nordic walking, skiing, and tobogganing. The mountain station is the starting point for easy to medium-difficulty hikes, and the Hörnle-Hütte offers traditional Bavarian cuisine and a sun terrace with a panoramic view
