Karlsruhe Palace

Palace Karlsruhe, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany

What to expect

Karlsruhe Palace is a historic building that was constructed in 1715 for Margrave Charles III William of Baden-Durlach. The palace is now home to the main museum of the Badisches Landesmuseum. The city of Karlsruhe has grown around the palace, which was planned with the tower at the centre and 32 streets radiating out from it like spokes on a wheel. The palace has undergone several transformations over the years, including a rebuild in 1746 using stone and alterations by Balthasar Neumann and Friedrich von Kesslau. Today, the palace is a popular destination for visitors and offers a glimpse into the region's rich history
